Confessions of a Blogger I

Being a blogger isn’t just being at fashion events, or being in photoshoots all day… It’s being a writer, a journalist, a researcher, an explorer, a photographer…

It’s being strong enough to be different and delicate enough to be able to put in words.

Being a blogger isn’t just glamour and glitz, it’s being proud of expressing your opinions, writing about what makes you tick, what makes you happy and what makes you sad.

We’re the new generation of artists, the new Van Gogh, the new Mozart and new Salvador Dali. We’re in there with Banksy, Patrick Demarchelier and Adele.

We recognise that Fashion is Art, such art made up of fine art, history, geography, music, architecture and inspired by nature and all beautiful things.

We understand that being different isn’t bad, it’s good. It’s real and positive. We recognise we all have style, and the best way to be stylish, is to be yourself.

We celebrate distinctiveness, the fact that we’re all unique, and celebrate our differences and backgrounds.

We admire the strength to share our thoughts, goals and preferences. We don’t follow other’s paths – we set our own.

Lots of love,

A xoxo

Kate Middleton’s outfits to the Olympics 2012

The Duchess of Cambridge has been the fashion inspiration for many young ladies, not just across the country, but across the globe. And as the events for London 2012 started, she has once again ticked all the boxes of a Royal Princess…. with infinite grace and poise, and that touch of class and elegance – even when dressed casually!

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, shall I? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Phewww… so much elegance is worthy of a crown, right?

In desperate need of TLC

After all the fun in the sun, festivals, road trips and nights out… we all need some extra TLC to get back in shape… I always take at least one day for feeling fresh and catching up on beauty sleep again, here are my tips to leave you feeling as fresh as new:

Take a warm indulgent shower or bath

I like using lots of oils, hydrating masks and indulging products like Victoria’s Secret, the Sanctuary, the Body Shop, Kerastase and MoroccanOil… They all smell divine and make me feel so much better and more relaxed.

Use Face Masks

I like using clay based masks if my skin feels oily, or a hydrating mask if skin feels dull… Sisley definitely makes the best masks.

Drink lots of water

It might sound cliche but it really helps you feels back in form and really hydrates the skin!

Eat lots of fruit

This is essential to ensure you’re getting enough vitamins and antioxidants to repair skin and tissue from those nights out, drinks and late nights. I usually take a good vitamin C supplement for a week to balance my vitamin levels. Don’t forget to take Milk Thistle supplement as well you’ve drank a bit too much to aid repair the liver tissue.

Get loads of beauty sleep

Absolutely the most important tip/advice I could ever give you, optimises the cell repair and ย rejuvenates you.

Lots of love,

A xoxo

Back from a long weekend away…

It’s been an amazing going away on long weekends, but it also feels great to be back home, unpack my bags and have signal coverage again ๐Ÿ˜€

Who follows me on Twitter, knows I was away last weekend for Common Riding in Scotland, the first and biggest of Border Festivals, with many events around horses, horse riding, and horse racing, which has inspired me for a few posts in the weeks to come. It was great, but there signal is very bad up north, and I was starting to feel a bit isolated, and God, have I missed blogging! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The weekend before I was away in London, (my beautiful London!) and again, was many inspired by many outfits around town…

This week is a huge week for the Blog, and although I can’t tell you all as nothing is certain yet, I’m hoping to have good news for you all this weeks, including a new job, and lots of new projects ๐Ÿ˜‰

It’s so good to be back, I’ve missed you all!

Lots of Love,

A xoxo
